Abstract
The article is aimed at presenting two directions of the European integration
development after the Treaty of Lisbon entered into force (2009) and
under the influence of the Eurozone crisis (started in 2009). The subject of
the analysis is the community and inter-governmental model. Special attention
in the analysis is given to the results of the EU summit held in December
2011, which seems to have strengthened the earlier trends of changes towards
inter-governmental management. Summing up, the author presents conclusions
and recommendations for Poland’s policy on the European Union arena.
